The Building Safety Act (Safety Case Report)
The Building Safety Act is a landmark piece of legislation designed to significantly improve safety standards for residents and occupants of high-rise and multi-occupancy buildings over 18 metres tall.
The ‘Golden Thread’ refers to dutyholders and accountable persons maintaining a database of information that can be accessed by various stakeholders, which aims to drive good practices through the entire building lifecycle.
Currently, there are limited resources in place within the industry to help with the production of these vital documents, Site Safety Consultants will assist you in collating this information to ensure that the buildings you are accountable for has the necessary Safety Cases in place.
As a landlord or building owner, you now have greater obligations including:
- Registering your building(s) with the Regulator
- Conducting regular safety checks and inspections
- Providing comprehensive information to potential buyers and leaseholders
- Undertaking necessary remediation works
- Demonstrating compliance to avoid penalties
Site Safety Consultants will provide support to assist you in meeting BSA compliance as a principal contractor.
